North Shore Community Resources delivers a broad variety of programs and wrap-around support to serve the demographic diversity in our community–providing children and family services, seniors and caregiver programming, as well as volunteer and community engagement opportunities.
Older Adult Services
- Information, referral, advocacy, and one-on-one support services to help seniors navigate community and social services (i.e. below market housing, food security, in-home services, etc.)
- Non-medical services to support aging at home (light housekeeping, medical transportation, minor home repair, light yard work, grocery pick up, prepared meal pick-up and friendly visiting) through Better at Home program
- Caregiver support groups and educational workshops
Children & Families
- Support for families to find affordable childcare options on the North Shore
- Toy and book lending library
- Providing training & assistance to early childhood educators and parents
Legal Advocacy
- Legal advocates can assist with problems involving tenancy, employment, income assistance, debt and other basic living legal issues
- Family law advocate can support with family law issues (i.e. divorce, parenting time, child/spousal support, etc.)
- Legal Information & Assistance is available to support with legal aid referrals, wills and estates, debt and other issues
Financial Services
- Tax preparation services
- Informational & referral services to navigate government benefits
- Legal advocacy to help navigate debt, employment, income assistance
Community Services
- Facilitates volunteering opportunities across the North Shore
- Information & Referral services for all ages– including production of the North Shore Housing list
