With warm weather comes fire danger.

Did you know that approximately 40% of wildfires in British Columbia are person-caused by activities such as open burning, the use of engines, or dropping burning substances such as a cigarette? The most important factor of person-caused fires is that they are preventable.

April 26, 2021: The North Shore Emergency Management, Wellness and Resilience Centre is now closed after supporting the North Shore community for the last four weeks. To learn about other support services available on the North shore, please visit

An online directory on the site includes community support agencies and organizations on the North Shore, other mental health organizations, a selection of library materials for all members of your family, clinical supports, spiritual care and religious resources and 24/7 phone supports.
